Countdown AMLR 2027: What Operations and Risk Need to Decide Now

From July 2027, the EU Anti-Money Laundering Regulation raises the bar for institutions and payment service providers. Most of the attention so far has gone to the legal text. The harder question is how the new requirements affect methodology, data and day-to-day operations, and who inside the institution owns each part of the answer.
That question rarely sits with one role. For the Anti-Money Laundering Officer, the regulation lands closest to home: the AML framework, the internal policies and the risk analysis behind them all have to hold up against a more prescriptive rulebook and a supervisor building a common methodology to assess them. For Heads of Risk, the shift is in methodology, risk assessment and the evidence they are expected to produce. For Heads of Operations, the same requirements land in data quality, turnaround times and Re-KYC. In most institutions, these roles sit at separate tables.
In this joint session, Deloitte and Sinpex bring those perspectives together. We look at what the regulation actually changes, which approaches have proven themselves in preparation so far, and how two real projects played out, including the parts that did not go to plan.
AML Officers, Heads of Operations, Heads of Risk and Compliance Officers at banks, payment service providers and other regulated financial institutions, in particular those shaping their AMLR preparation right now.
